Successful utilities are the absolute core of SDG6. The 300 Water Leaders initiative aims to accelerate the success of 300 utilities to ensure that 300 million additional people are connected to piped potable water and safe sanitation services by 2030.

We’re committed to SDG6

Each member pledges to extend water and/or sanitation services within the definitions provided by the SDG6.1/6.2/6.3 to a certain number of people.

We share knowledge

Each utility leader submits a roadmap to SDG6 that details their biggest challenges and successes, creating a collective knowledge for members.

We work together

Members meet face-to-face annually at the Global Water Summit and regional meetings co-located with other events.

We connect members to finance

Our development finance partners host workshop events to introduce members to new financial models such as blended finance and climate finance.

Our members

Members of the 300 Water Leaders group are utilities committed to approach the SDG6 target with transformational ideas, ambitious targets and rigorous strategy. The 300 group creates the space for utility leaders to consult fellow members facing similar challenges, as well as the opportunity to celebrate successes when key milestones are achieved.
